Pune. Sharad Pawar and his NCP faction leaders allege that Ajit Pawar broke the party and became the Deputy CM of Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar’s special leader Jitendra Awhad had recently even called Ajit Pawar a pickpocket on this issue in a public meeting. Now Ajit Pawar has made an explosive revelation in an interview given to the English newspaper The Hindu. In an interview given to the newspaper, Ajit Pawar claimed on the issue of NCP that he had not left Sharad Pawar. Ajit Pawar claimed that all NCP MLAs had taken the decision and written a letter to Sharad Pawar. On this, Sharad Pawar had given approval to go with BJP and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena.
Ajit Pawar said that he still has that letter from the MLAs. Ajit Pawar told the newspaper that he does not want to create a new problem by saying anything further on this issue. When asked if there was a possibility of reconciliation with Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar told the newspaper that he did not want to answer hypothetical questions. He also said that although he is in alliance with BJP and Shiv Sena, he has not given up secularism. Ajit Pawar said that his aim is to win as many seats as possible for Mahayuti in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Ajit Pawar said that everything is at stake in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Regarding Mahayuti getting less seats in the Lok Sabha elections, Ajit Pawar said that the mistakes have been rectified. He also claimed that the atmosphere is different in Maharashtra now.
The Hindu also asked Ajit Pawar a question about his aspiration to become CM. On this, the NCP faction leader said that he is not the kind to hide his aspirations. Ajit Pawar said that he is not thinking of becoming CM. If he says anything, the alliance partners will be upset. Also, Ajit Pawar said that like Bihar, the CM candidate will be selected from a small party included in the alliance. Recently, Ajit Pawar faction leader Nawab Malik had claimed that NCP leaders will emerge as kingmakers. In such a situation, this statement of Ajit Pawar is considered important.
