Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday targeted the BJP -led central government on the issue of farmers’ protests and said that he did not care about the farmers. Criticizing the BJP, Yadav said that no government should do injustice to farmers, so their demands should be discussed.
In a conversation with reporters, the SP chief said, “As far as the farmers are concerned, the BJP does not care about them … We have to improve our system at the ground level, make farmers prosper. But the BJP is spoiling the economy from above and making farmers rich.
Earlier today, Satnam Singh Pannu of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti condemned both the Center and Punjab State Government to evict farmers from sambhu and Khannaur borders. In a video shared by the Kisan Morcha, Pannu said that today he would protest against the “atrocities” on farmers outside the offices of the Deputy Commissioners in Haryana and Punjab.
