Mohan Bhagwat
Guwahati: Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), emphasized five important changes for unity and social change in Hindu society during an intellectual program. The event was held at the South Point School Complex, Barshapara of Guwahati, in which about thousands of responsible workers were present.
Dr. Bhagwat emphasized the need to promote social harmony in the society. He said, “We consider all Hindus to be one, but discrimination is seen in the society on the basis of caste, creed, and language. We have to try to end this discrimination.” He also told that our relationship with our friends and family members should be similar to the people of other society.
The path of unity for Hindu society
Sarsanghchalak emphasized the need to promote friendship and cooperation between various castes, regions, and languages in Hindu society.
Importance of family and Indian values
Dr. Bhagwat also talked about promoting Indian family values in the society. He said that by saving Indian traditions in families, the direction of society will grow in the right direction. Along with this, he also emphasized on increasing collective use of Hindu temples, reservoirs, and cremation ground.
Environmental protection and indigenous adoption
During the program, Mohan Bhagwat also emphasized the responsibility of environmental protection, he talked about water conservation, lack of polythene use and preference to plantation. He said that every Indian family should adopt Swadeshi in their language, clothes, food, housing and travel, so that Indian culture and traditions can be strengthened.
Appeal to increase the use of mother tongue
Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the need to communicate in his mother tongue rather than foreign languages. He said that using mother tongue will not only increase the unity of society, but our cultural heritage will also survive.
Follow civil duties
At the end of his address, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat underlined the importance of civil duties. He appealed to all citizens to follow government rules and laws, as well as follow traditional social moral norms. He said, “It is our responsibility to perform our duties for the good of society.”
