Maulana Khalid Rashid of Firangi Mahal, a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), welcomed the extradition of Tahwwur Rana, accused of terrorism on Friday, “The time of justice has come”. After the arrest of Tahwwur Rana, accused of terrorism, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said this morning that further action can be taken to locate the “real” mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. He said that Rana, accused of 26/11, can reveal the mastermind behind the incident and that the person can be exposed to the person who had directed him to do such an act. Pawar told reporters here, “We were all in Mumbai during the 26/11 attacks, it was a very serious incident. We tried to find out who was the real mastermind behind the incident … Now we have caught this person (Tahwwur Rana) and he can tell who the real mastermind is behind the incident, who instructed him to do such an action.
He hoped that the interrogation of Rana would provide important information about the plan of attacks, including the objectives behind the individual and the objectives behind the destruction.
