New Delhi. The Allahabad High Court Bar Association announced to withdraw the strike of the lawyers. The lawyers will return to work from Monday. The lawyers started an indefinite strike to protest against the transfer of the Allahabad High Court after the recovery of the house of Delhi High Court Judge Yashwant Verma. However, Supreme Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna has clarified that even after the transfer of Justice Verma, his judicial work will be stopped, after which the lawyers have postponed the strike on the fifth day. However, the Bar Association has said that the swearing -in ceremony of Justice Verma will be boycotted.

According to Bar Association President Anil Tiwari, no High Court lawyer will attend the swearing in of Justice Verma. He said that the decision to postpone the strike has been taken in the executive meeting till the report of the inquiry committee against Justice Verma. However, he clarified that the movement of lawyers would continue. Under this movement, a National level conference will be organized on the subject of Judicial Accountability in Prayagraj on 26 and 27 April, in which all the officials and senior advocates of all the High Court of the country will participate. He said that if Eid holiday is on Monday, lawyers will start working from Tuesday.

Let us tell you that a large number of cash was recovered from the house of Judge Yashwant Verma, who was still posted in the Delhi High Court, after which the Supreme Court collegium recommended him to be transferred to the Allahabad High Court, which is his original court. The Central Government accepted the recommendation and issued a notification of transfer yesterday. On the other hand, Justice Verma is against the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court Justice GS Sandhavalia and Karnataka High Court Judge Anu Shivraman’s three -member committee internal inquiry.
