The Mumbai Police Podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia is unable to detect as his phone is closed, while Raina has been asked to appear by March 10 in connection with the investigation of the case related to the controversial comments made on his YouTube show. An official gave this information on Saturday.
Allahabad’s objectionable comments regarding parents and sexual relations are being widely criticized. In this connection, several complaints have been lodged in the police against Allahabadia and others at many places across the country. Podcaster made this controversial comment on Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latant’.
The official said that Khar police have not been able to contact Allahabadia as their phone is closed. He said that Raina’s lawyer has met senior police officers and sought time as his client is currently in America. On the request of the lawyer, the police has given Raina till March 10 to record the statement.
Allahabadia had earlier requested the Khar police to register his statement at his residence but the police had rejected the request of the podcaster. The police went to her flat in Versova area on Friday, but she was found closed.
The Mumbai Police has recorded statements of eight people, including Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchalani and Manager of Allahabadia, on the complaint of a BJP official. However, the city police have not registered any FIR in this regard.
Maharashtra Cyber Police has called at least 50 people to record statements in connection with the case registered in this regard. These include those who participated in the show. Actor Raghu Ram recorded his statement before the police on Thursday. He was involved in Raina’s show’s jury.
