New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan from Okhla Assembly seat of Delhi has been granted anticipatory bail by the Rouse Avenue Court. However, even before this, the court had provided relief to Khan from arrest. The police had also registered an FIR against the AAP MLA in the case of the attack on the Delhi Police team, who went to arrest the accused of murder in Jamia Nagar, in the same case they have now got an advance bail. The court has also imposed some conditions giving a bail to the AAP MLA at a personal bond of 25 thousand rupees.
The Rouse Avenue Court has asked Amanatullah Khan to cooperate in the investigation of the case. It has also ordered that whenever he called for Delhi Police inquiries, they will have to be present. The court said that he would not tamper with any tahar and has stopped going out of the country without permission. Earlier on 13 February, the court stayed any punitive action against Amanatullah Khan till 24 February.
In fact, the Delhi Police team went to Jamia Nagar to arrest one of the murder accused. There, supporters of Amanatullah Khan created a ruckus and pushed the policemen. Taking advantage of this uproar, the killer escaped. At the time when AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was pushed with policemen. After this, Delhi Police reached his house to interrogate him but he did not meet at home. The police then registered an FIR against the AAP MLA. The police were constantly raiding for the arrest of the AAP MLA. Meanwhile, Amanatullah Khan filed a petition in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court to avoid arrest.
