Now a heavy fine has been imposed on Amazon in this case.

Let us tell you that this case has been registered in Chandigarh, in which it has been told that a smartphone was purchased from Amazon’s website but later it was found that the smartphone was hacked. The victim woman told that in September 2023, all the details from her smartphone had gone to the hackers. Due to this they have suffered financial loss.
In this case, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, while hearing the hearing, has ordered Amazon Retail India to pay ₹ 40,325. A fine of ₹18,000 has been imposed to compensate for the mental loss suffered by the woman.
