The tenure of Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been full of adventure and historical decisions. From the cancellation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir to strict action on terrorism and strengthening internal security, he has taken many big and risky adventure decisions in his tenure so far. Amit Shah played an important role in passing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). With this Act, it became easy to get citizenship of India for non-Muslim minorities like Hindu, Sikh etc. from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
Amit Shah has also played an important role in the initiative to liberate Muslim women from the brunt of triple talaq and implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Amit Shah changed the country’s old laws for a long time to implement the three new laws of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), the Indian Civil Protection Code (BNSS) and the Indian Evidence Act (BSA), 2023. Amit Shah has also taken the initiative to end Naxalism from the country and today there are many districts which are completely free from Naxalism. March 2026 Amit Shah has committed to overthrow Naxalism from the remaining parts.
