Union Minister Amit Shah gave information on the Ahmedabad plane crash on Thursday. Amit Shah, who visited the injured and visiting the accident site, said that the temperature was so high due to fuel burning in Air India aircraft that there was no chance to save anyone.
Union Minister Amit Shah told the media, “This afternoon Air India aircraft has crashed AL-171 and many passengers are feared to be killed. The whole country is in mourning and standing with the afflicted families. The central government received information within 10 minutes of the accident.”
He said, “I contacted the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Home Minister and Minister of Civil Aviation. The Prime Minister also called the Prime Minister in no time. All central and state government departments are running rescue operations. The aircraft had 230 passengers and 12 crew members.”

Amit Shah said, “There is some good news for a surviving person. The death toll will be announced after DNA verification. I met a living person … Every department is doing rescue work with coordination. The aircraft had about 1,25,000 liters of fuel, and there was no possibility of saving anyone due to high temperatures.”
Amit Shah also inspected the accident site. He said, “I visited the accident site. The work of removing the bodies is almost complete. DNA samples of family members are being collected. Family members living abroad have also been informed. About 1000 DNA tests will be done … DNA samples of bodies have also been collected.”
Amit Shah said, “The bodies will be handed over after the DNA test … Every aspect was discussed in the review meeting. The Minister of Aviation has directed that the investigation be done fast.”
