Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to 26 people killed in Pahalgam terror attack on Wednesday. The bodies of the deceased were kept at the Srinagar Police Headquarters. Everyone’s eyes were moist after seeing the coffins. The Home Minister laid a wreath on the coffins. The Home Minister will go to the hospital to meet the injured from here.
Let me tell you that in the last several years, at least 26 people were killed by terrorists at Basaron Maidan in Pahalgam in one of the biggest terrorist attacks on citizens in Kashmir. Most of which were tourists.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who returned home to his visit to Saudi Arabia, met at the airport and inquired about the attack. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Mistry and other officials were present in this meeting.
Heavy protests in Jammu-Srinagar

NIA team left for Pahalgam
Meanwhile, a team of NIA has been sent to the terrorism -affected Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of a Inspector General (IG). It is being told that the team has left for Pahalgam, where it will provide assistance to the local police investigating the brutal terrorist attack on Tuesday. 26 people were killed in this attack, most of which were tourists from different parts of the country. The terrorists fired bullets at the tourists who were roaming around the restaurants in Basaron, Pahalgam, riding on the mules or celebrating a picnic.
