Union Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed the Chief Ministers of all states to identify Pakistani citizens living in their respective states so that they can be sent back as soon as possible. The Home Minister has sought a list of Pakistani citizens from the states so that their visa can be canceled. After the Pahalgam terror attack, PM Narendra Modi has asked the Pakistani citizens not to give visas and leave the Pakistani who came to India to leave the country by 30 April. In this context, the Union Home Minister held a meeting with the officials of the Home Ministry.
Amit Shah has asked the Chief Ministers to prioritize the work of ensuring the identity of Pakistani citizens while maintaining law and order in their states. All -party meeting has been held a day before the Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. In this meeting, almost all opposition parties including Congress have supported the government in the fight against terrorism. All opposition parties say that we are together in whatever steps the government will take to punish the terrorists of Pahalgam attack. It is believed that the Union Home Minister has issued this directive only after getting support from the opposition parties.

The Government of India has given an ultimatum to Pakistani citizens in India to return to Pakistan in 48 hours under SVSE visa. Also, the Defense, Military, Navy and Air Force advisors of the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi have been declared ‘Persona Non Grata’. Not only this, the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has also banned the official social media account X of Pakistan Government in India. The Indus River Water Treaty has also been canceled by the Modi government.
