Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan
The case of alleged adulteration in the laddus (prasad) of Tirupati temple had come to light recently. There was a lot of controversy after this news came out. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan took part in the purification ritual at the Kanaka Durga temple as part of his 11-day penance to please the Lord. During this, other party leaders were also with him. He cleaned and washed the stairs of the temple by scrubbing them with a brush.
Pawan Kalyan said, “I firmly follow Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism). We are devotees of Ram and chant Ram’s name in our homes.” He also said that all religions like Muslims, Christians and Parsis are equally respected in India. He further said that the concept of secularism cannot be one-way rather it is a two-way street in which all religions have to be respected.
Deputy CM expressed objection to Prakash Raj’s comment
Kalyan objected to actor Prakash Raj’s comment in response to his tweet on the laddu controversy. Expressing his objection, he questioned what the actor has to do with this matter. He asked, “Prakash Raj has commented against me. I was talking about the mistreatment of Hindus. What is Prakash Raj’s role in this? Did I insult any religion? Did I insult Islam? Did I insult Christianity? If there is a mistake, if there is impurity, should I not talk about it?”

Let us tell you that Prakash Raj had recently tagged Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in a post on ‘X’ and said, “Dear Pawan Kalyan, this has happened in the state where you are the Deputy Chief Minister, please investigate. Find the culprits and take strict action. Why are you creating apprehensions and raising this issue at the national level, there is already enough communal tension in our country.”
