New Delhi. BJP has targeted Ashok Tanwar, who suddenly left BJP and joined Congress on the last day of assembly election campaign in Haryana. Senior Haryana BJP leader Anil Vij took a sharp satire on Ashok Tanwar and called him a migratory bird. Vij said that people like Ashok Tanwar keep jumping from one place to another. Sometimes on this branch and sometimes on that branch, they have no home of their own. These are people of this tendency.

On the possibility of BJP facing loss in elections if Tanwar joins Congress, Anil Vij said, there is neither benefit nor loss from such people. The public knows such people and the people of Haryana take revenge from the defectors. However, expressing ignorance about the reason for Tanwar leaving BJP, Vij said that it is only good if such a defector leaves the party. Vij said, Tanwar was given full respect in the party, yet he showed his true nature. It is worth noting that Ashok Tanwar attended the BJP rally earlier in the day and an hour later suddenly reached Rahul Gandhi’s rally and took membership of Congress.

Ashok Tanwar joining Congress is being seen as his homecoming. Ashok Tanwar, former president of Haryana Congress, separated from the party in the year 2019. After this he did many experiments. At first he formed his own separate party but his decision proved wrong. After this Tanwar joined TMC in 2021. But here too, seeing no future, he joined Aam Aadmi Party in 2022. Tanwar joined BJP in January 2024. BJP also fielded Tanwar from Sirsa in the Lok Sabha elections but he lost to Kumari Selja of Congress by more than 2.50 lakh votes. After this, Tanwar once again returned home to Congress today.
