After sentencing all the four accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, the tears of the deceased’s mother Soni Devi spilled after life sentence. He said that now a big battle has to be fought so that the killers will be punished for hanging and people should think a thousand times before doing so with anyone. After the decision came in Kotdwar in Pauri district, in a conversation with the media, Devi said that she is not satisfied with this, but this must have given some peace to her daughter’s soul.
He said that he will be satisfied only when his daughter’s killers will get the death penalty. He said that the killers not only did bad with his daughter but also made his life hell.
He said that only a mother can understand the grief of losing a daughter. He also thanked the people for support and said that he has got the first victory today. Asked if she would go to the High Court demanding the execution of the killers, she said, ‘Why not. “
Ankita’s father Virendra Bhandari said that he wants to give death penalty to his daughter’s killers, so he will challenge the decision of the lower court in the High Court.
Virendra Bhandari told reporters, “Our demand is that the way he killed our daughter, he should also get the death penalty.”
He also demanded an inquiry into the involvement of BJP MLA Renu Bisht from Yamkeshwar and a “very special person”, whose name has come up in this case. The Additional District and Sessions Court at Kotdwar sentenced the three accused, including the main accused Pulkit Arya, to strict life imprisonment on Friday in the Ankita murder case.
