A family from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh has alleged that Jamaluddin alias Chhangur Baba and his colleague Badar Akhtar Siddiqui implicated their daughter by pretending to get a job in Dubai. After this he was included in his conversion gang.
The family says that his daughter has been missing since October 2019 and she was brainwash under the influence of Chhangur Baba. It is noteworthy that Chhangur Baba was arrested by the UP ATS on 5 July, allegedly described as the mastermind of a religious conversion syndicate.
The missing girl’s sister said that she met Siddiqui during the Tour and Travel course in 2019. He claimed that Siddiqui lured his sister to rotate first and then gradually brainwashed her mentally.
According to the family, on 24 October 2019, the woman was last seen in a curtain car with Siddiqui and three unidentified persons. When she returned home for some time, shocking changes were seen in her behavior. The girl’s sister says that she had left the puja, hearing the name of God, she started teasing and was completely cut off from her parents.
The woman also claimed that her sister’s passport is still with the family and she suspects that she must have been sent out of the country illegally. The sister of a young woman from Ghaziabad has sensationally alleged that Badar Akhtar Siddiqui, who is a close aide of Chhangur Baba alias Jamaluddin, not only brainwashed her sister, but also physically tortured her. “He used to burn cigarettes and stain on his body.
Chhangur Baba, who was caught in this case, used to sell rings and amulets on a bicycle in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh. But today he has allegedly become the mastermind of a religious conversion racket. Police investigation has revealed that he had a funding of about ₹ 106 crore, which came mainly from Middle East (Gulf countries). This amount was deposited in 40 bank accounts, and more than two assets worth several crores were also found.
Police say that poor, helpless workers, weaker sections and widow women were forced to convert by Chhangur Baba and his gang to show greed, financial help, marriage promise or fear. All this was done in the prescribed process and violation of law.
