New Delhi. Delhi’s new Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a very important decision for the safety of women in the national capital. Now on the lines of UP’s ‘Anti Romeo Squad’, ‘Anti Eve Teasing Squad’ will be made in Delhi, although it will be named ‘Etiquette Squad’. Each courtesy squad will be appointed an inspector, one sub -inspector, head constable and eight constables including four women policemen. The etiquette squad will be repaired in bus stands, metro stations, markets, school-college, parks etc. so that action can be taken against the accused by rein in such public places.

Two special squads of courtesy squads will be deployed in every district of Delhi. A skilled policeman will also be deployed in every unit for technical assistance. The squad will also have four wheelers and two -wheelers so that they will be comfortable to come. Policemen posted in the squad team will be in plain clothes instead of uniform so that women who were tampering with women can be identified and arrested. The head ACP of ‘Anti Eve Teasing Squad’ will be Crime Against Women in Squad.
Each squad team will have to cover all sensitive covers of their area every week, for this, every squad will have to patrol in at least two sensitive areas daily. These squads will be monitored by the Superintendent of Police of each district. The number of CCTV cameras will be increased. The team will also be given some special rights so that action can be taken immediately in the relevant matters. Women policemen posted in the squad will play a major role in this because the victim women can speak and complain to these women policemen without hesitation. It is believed that this step will reduce molestation and other crimes against women.
