New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are clouded by trouble. After the defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, now AAP leaders have suffered another major setback. The Union Home Ministry has given its permission for further investigation into the corruption case against Sisodia and Jain. Information in this regard has been provided by the office of Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the Vigilance Department sought permission to investigate against former Delhi government deputy CM Manish Sisodia and former PWD Minister Satyendra Jain. Both these leaders have gone to jail in different cases and are currently out on bail.
Manish Sisodia was arrested by the ED in the liquor scam case. After which he had to spend a lot of time in Tihar Jail. In its charge sheet, the ED has made Sisodia the prime accused after Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor scam. At the same time, Satyendra Jain was accused of money laundering, after which he had to eat the air of Tihar. Jain is accused of making money laundering through dummy companies. He was arrested on May 2022 on this charge. However, some videos of Satyendra Jain were also revealed while being lodged in Tihar Jail. In these videos, Satyendra Jain was making his movement inside the jail.
In a video, Jain was seen massaging his leg and back with a prisoner. In another video, he was seen eating food brought from outside the jail. Similarly, Mahathg Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who was closed in Tihar itself, also accused Satyendra Jain of threatening and raising money. Recently, Delhi’s Rouse Aveenu Court has ordered former CM and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and two other party leaders to register an FIR for misusing public money.
