Approval of one more metro station in the country. Greater Noida West Metro will run on 17 KM line with 11 stations.

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has recently sent the revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Greater Noida West Metro to the Central Government for approval. The construction process will be started as soon as this project gets the green signal. The construction of this metro line will provide relief to lakhs of residents of Greater Noida West, where the problem of traffic jams is common.

The UP Cabinet has already approved the DPR of this route, which will have 11 proposed stations. This metro route will be approximately 17 kilometers long and will cost approximately Rs 3,000 crore. Presently Aqua Line runs from Sector-51 to Greater Noida Depot and this new line will be its extension.

NMRC officials say that the introduction of this new metro route will reduce the jam on 130 meter road. At present, after the approval, tender will be issued for the construction, and if permission is received quickly from the Central Government, then the construction work can start by the end of next year.

There has been enthusiasm among the local people towards this metro project for many years. According to Nephova President Abhishek Kumar, the metro service will provide relief to the people living in Greater Noida West from traffic jams.

An important change on this route will be that an interchange station will be built in Sector-61. Here, passengers will be able to easily change between the Blue Line coming from Delhi and the Aqua Metro Line going to Greno West. This type of interchange station will make metro travel even easier.
