Army Rescues 68 Tourists: Army rescues 68 tourists stranded on the way to Gulmarg due to snowfall.

New Delhi. Snowfall is occurring in hilly states like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. In such a situation, a large number of tourists are heading towards the snow-covered mountains to celebrate the New Year. Meanwhile, news of many accidents due to snowfall is also coming to the fore. Something similar happened in Kashmir where tourist vehicles going towards Gulmarg got stuck in snow midway. As soon as the Indian Army came to know about this, they immediately reached there and rescued 68 tourists and took them to a safe place. The Army’s Chinar Corps carried out this rescue operation.

These tourists included 30 women, 30 men and 8 children who were visiting Gulmarg from different places. Chinar Warriors handle security related responsibilities in the eastern and northern regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Army soldiers arrived as angels for the tourists stranded in the snow. On the other hand, 2,000 vehicles are also stuck on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway due to snowfall. In view of the weather, 5 air flights have been canceled from Srinagar Airport. In Ladakh too, many roads have been closed due to snowfall. Orange alert has been issued in 6 districts of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla and Kinnaur.

In Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, holiday has been declared in all government and private schools due to cold. The administration is appealing to tourists to stay at safe places. Many such videos are going viral on social media in which it can be seen that due to snow on the roads, people’s vehicles are slipping and colliding with each other. Despite this, people are ignoring this and moving towards the mountains. The situation is getting worse due to rain.
