A person who allegedly threatened to kill actor Salman Khan was found in a village in Vadodara district of Gujarat and he is mentally ill. The police gave this information on Tuesday.
Police said the notice was issued to 26 -year -old Mayank Pandya, who threatened the actor and asked to appear if needed.
Police said the accused is a resident of a village in Vaghodia taluka in Vadodara and has not been arrested.
On Sunday, a message came on the WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai Traffic Police, in which the sender threatened to bomb Salman Khan’s car and enter his house by entering his house.
After this, the Worli police of Mumbai registered a case against the unknown person under Section 351 (2) (3) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Justice Code and tightened security outside the Khan’s residence in Bandra area.
District Superintendent of Police Rohan Anand told reporters that after investigation, the Mumbai Police came to know that this threatening message was sent by a person living in Vaghodia taluka of Vadodara.
Anand said, “A team of Mumbai Police along with Vaghodia police reached the suspect’s house in a village on Monday. Then it was found that the 26 -year -old man sending the message is a mental patient and is also being treated.”
“The Mumbai Police gave him notice to appear,” the official said and went away. “
Another official said that according to the notice, whenever Pandya needed, Pandya will have to appear before the Mumbai Police for investigation.
In April last year, two motorcycle riders fired four rounds outside the Khan’s house in the Galaxy apartment in Bandra area of Mumbai.
Khan had earlier received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in which he was warned of not apologizing to the Bishnoi community on the alleged murder of a black deer. Following these threats, the Mumbai Police provided him with Y-Plus security.
A few weeks after the firing incident last year, the Navi Mumbai Police claimed to have exposed the conspiracy to kill Khan by the Bishnoi gang. The gang conspired to kill Salman Khan during his visit to his farmhouse in Panvel near Mumbai.
