Pema Khandu said in an interview with news agency PTI on Thursday that historically Arunachal Pradesh borders not China with Tibet. He said that the 1200 km border of Arunachal Pradesh is bordering Tibet. Pema Khandu said that it cannot be denied that China forcibly captured Tibet in 1950. He said that Tibet is officially under China, but we originally share the border with Tibet. Pema Khandu said about the Dam of China on the Brahmaputra river that it is a matter of concern.

CM Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh further said that her kingdom is on three sides with the international border. Arunachal Pradesh has a border of about 1200 km from Tibet, about 150 km from Bhutan and about 550 km from Myanmar. Pema Khandu’s statement may make China look more chilly because China has been claiming Arunachal Pradesh as the southern part of Tibet. China also releases the list of names of all the places of Arunachal Pradesh every year according to its own. At the same time, India has constantly said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of it. Even in the 1962 war, China had vacated it even after occupying a large part of Arunachal Pradesh.
