Sonipat. Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal did not appear in the court in Sonepat, Haryana today. A case has been registered against Arvind Kejriwal in Sonepat for mixing poison in Yamuna. The case is being heard by CJM Neha Goyal. The court summoned Arvind Kejriwal in this case and summoned on Monday, but Kejriwal’s lawyers came and filed their advocacy. Now the court will have the next hearing in this case on March 20.
In summons issued by the court of Sonepat on January 29, it was clearly written that Arvind Kejriwal is directed to appear personally during the next hearing. The court had said in summons that if he did not appear on the date of hearing, then it will be believed that he has nothing to say in this matter. Then further action will be taken under the law. Security was also strong in the court premises after asking Arvind Kejriwal to appear by issuing summons from the court of Sonepat, but the Aam Aadmi Party convenor and former Delhi CM did not reach the court for appearance. Now everyone is eyeing that Arvind Kejriwal goes to court on the next hearing or wants exemption from production while giving any application.
Arvind Kejriwal had alleged during the Delhi Assembly elections that poison has been added to the Yamuna river from Haryana. This led to the political fierce battle. The BJP government of Haryana warned Arvind Kejriwal to apologize or face legal action. At the same time, Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini himself attacked the Yamuna water and showed it by drinking. The BJP had also made an issue of Arvind Kejriwal’s statement of poisoning the Yamuna water and said that the former CM of Delhi is insulting the people of Haryana. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party said that a lot of garbage is coming from the factories of Haryana in Yamuna. Whereas, the Atishi government in Delhi had said that the water of Yamuna is so dirty that it is not being cleaned and supplied drinking water. However, the CEO of the Delhi Jal Board had written a letter to the Lieutenant Governor that it is wrong to poison the water of Yamuna.
