New Delhi. Shardiya Navratri has started from today. Along with this, Aam Aadmi Party convenor and former CM Arvind Kejriwal is also going to vacate the official residence of Delhi CM located at 6 Flagstaff Road. According to the information, Arvind Kejriwal will vacate the Delhi CM residence on 4th October i.e. Friday. There is no permanent residence for the Delhi CM. After becoming the CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal lived at the government residence located at 6 Flagstaff Road. It is not yet known whether the current CM Atishi will remain there after Arvind Kejriwal vacates the CM residence.

Arvind Kejriwal stayed with his family members at the CM residence in Delhi. He is survived by his wife Sunita Kejriwal, son, daughter and parents. According to the information, Arvind Kejriwal will live in the government residence of 5 Ferozshah Road located in Lutyens Zone, a posh area of his New Delhi Assembly seat. The government has allotted this residence to Aam Aadmi Party MP Ashok Mittal. Before being elected CM, Arvind Kejriwal lived in Kaushambi area of Ghaziabad, UP. Recently, when Arvind Kejriwal was released from jail on bail, he first resigned from the post of CM of Delhi and then announced that he would leave the CM residence on Shardiya Navratri. Arvind Kejriwal also came under question on the issue of renovation of CM residence. Congress and BJP have alleged that Arvind Kejriwal spent crores on renovating the Delhi CM’s residence and installed expensive curtains and toilet seats here.
Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED in March 2024. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested in the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi. At the time of Lok Sabha elections, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal for campaigning. After this, the Supreme Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the ED arrest case, but before that the CBI had arrested him in the liquor scam case. Recently, Arvind Kejriwal also got bail from the Supreme Court in the CBI case. After which he could be released from Tihar Jail.
