Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal appreciated his party -led Delhi Municipal Corporation to approve the provision of Rs 800 crore for regularizing its 12,000 contract workers and said that “only you” can meet the demands of the people.
Kejriwal wrote in a post on X on Wednesday, “There is great news for 12,000 temporary employees of Delhi Municipal Corporation. The Aam Aadmi Party government in the Municipal Corporation has fulfilled their years -old demand by providing Rs 800 crore in the budget.”

He said, “Now all these employees of the corporation will be permanent, it can only be done by the Aam Aadmi Party. Many congratulations to all the employees and their families.” Durgesh Pathak, the party leader and in-charge of the MCD election, also congratulated the people on being made a permanent employee.
Delhi Mayor Mahesh Kumar Chunchi announced a budget allocation of Rs 800 crore for the salaries of the employees and criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying that it is’ unable to handle the leadership of the Mayor of Delhi. The statement issued by you said, “BJP could not digest the leadership of a Dalit mayor and he turned the house in a battlefield – you were in a situation of chaos and trickery.”
The statement said, “For two years, the BJP has made every effort to stop the proceedings, but AAP’s attention is focused on working for the people of Delhi.” The Mayor of Delhi addressed a correspondent conference on the revised budget of 2024-25 and 2025-26 during the MCD Sadan meeting on Wednesday.
