New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is about to vacate the CM residence located at 6 Flagstaff Road. According to the information, Arvind Kejriwal will vacate the Delhi CM residence by Friday and go to live in another residence. Arvind Kejriwal had expressed his wish that he should be given accommodation in his New Delhi assembly constituency only. So that he can stay among his voters and know their problems. The special thing is that Arvind Kejriwal has also been accused of spending crores of rupees in the renovation of Delhi CM’s residence. Arvind Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal, son, daughter and parents live in Delhi CM residence.
When Arvind Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on bail recently, he had held a meeting of Aam Aadmi Party workers. Arvind Kejriwal made two announcements in this meeting. He had said that he will leave the post of CM of Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal had also talked about vacating the CM residence. Arvind Kejriwal had said that he will vacate the Delhi CM residence during Sharadiya Navratri. Shardiya Navratri is starting from Thursday i.e. 3 October 2024. After Arvind Kejriwal vacates the CM’s residence, current Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is likely to live in it.
Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED in March 2024 in the alleged liquor scam case. The Supreme Court had granted him interim bail during the Lok Sabha elections. After which the Supreme Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal, but before that the CBI, which was mainly investigating the liquor scam, had arrested him from Tihar Jail. Arvind Kejriwal petitioned the Supreme Court on his arrest by CBI and in this case too, after getting bail, he was able to come out of Tihar Jail. Arvind Kejriwal is currently busy campaigning for the Haryana Assembly elections. Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that after the Haryana Assembly elections, the government cannot be formed without the help of his Aam Aadmi Party. Voting for Haryana Assembly elections is to be held on October 5. The election results will come on October 8 and only then will it be known how true Arvind Kejriwal’s claim is.
