New Delhi. Former Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal is going to vacate the CM residence today. The mini trucks have been allowed inside their residence by the security officials, and the process of loading the goods has started. Kejriwal had already announced that he would leave the CM residence after the Shraddha Paksha is over.
Announcement of vacating the residence after resignation
Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of Chief Minister on 17 June 2024. While resigning, he had also said that he would soon vacate the CM residence. As soon as the Shraddha Paksha is over, they have started the process of vacating the CM residence from today.
Temporary residence will be on Ferozshah Road
After vacating the CM residence, Arvind Kejriwal and his family will shift to the government residence of Punjab Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal on Ferozeshah Road. This residence is located near Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane, the headquarters of Aam Aadmi Party.

Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that after resigning, Kejriwal was invited by many party MLAs, ministers, and workers to stay in their houses. However, Kejriwal chose to stay near his constituency New Delhi, from where he contests the assembly elections.
Aam Aadmi Party MP Ashok Mittal had also offered him to stay in his house, which Kejriwal accepted. Until he wins the election for the post of Chief Minister again, he will live in Mittal’s house.
The new residence will be close to the party headquarters
Arvind Kejriwal’s new residence will be at a short distance from the party headquarters, due to which he will remain active in party activities.
