Now politics is heating up on this statement. By raising the issue of having Hindu employees in Tirupati temple, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has again raised the issue of Waqf Board. Asaduddin Owaisi is continuously raising questions on the Modi government’s attempt to change the Waqf law. Now see how he targeted the Tirupati temple for appointing only Hindu employees.
After being made the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board, BR Naidu had said that every employee working in Tirumala should be a Hindu. Naidu had said that doing so would be his first attempt. BR Naidu had said that he would discuss with the Andhra Pradesh government about the future of employees of other religions working in the TTD Board. Naidu had said that there are many issues in this work and they have to be considered. The new Chairman of TTD Board had also said that consideration will be given to giving VRS to non-Hindu employees or transferring them to some other place.
Andhra Pradesh government has recently constituted a new board of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). It has 24 members. Tirumala Tirupati is the richest temple in the world. Recently, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had created a stir by saying that during the previous Jaganmohan Reddy government, ghee containing animal fat was used in the Laddus Prasadam offered to Lord Venkateswara. This issue became so heated that a hearing was held even in the Supreme Court. Now there are full chances of a new controversy starting over the decision to keep only Hindu employees in Tirupati temple.
