New Delhi. While the Congress is getting disastrous about the statement made by senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Rajiv Gandhi, on the other hand Iyer has come under target of his own party leaders. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has termed Mani Shankar’s statement condemnable. He said that what Iyer spoke about Rajiv Gandhi is as low as it is condemned. He said that I cannot believe how Iyer can say this. Gehlot said, only one can give such a statement.

Before Rajasthan, the CM said, the law passed during Rajiv Gandhi is written as historical laws in history. Today, when he is not in this world, it is condemnable to talk about him like this. I never expected Mani Shankar Iyer that he could speak such things about Rajiv Gandhi because he has been among his very close people. Earlier, Congress leader Nana Patole also retaliated at Mani Shankar Iyer and said that his mental balance has deteriorated, need to be investigated. However, there has been no response from the Gandhi family so far.
What did Mani Shankar Iyer say?
Mani Shankar Aiyar said during a recent interview that when Rajiv Gandhi was being made Prime Minister, I thought how could the person who failed twice be made PM. Iyer told that Rajiv had studied with me at Cambridge University and he failed there. After this, Rajiv Imperial College went to London but he also failed there. Iyer’s comment has created a ruckus since this comment.
