Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed the successful launch of the Axiom-4 mission for the International Space Station and said that Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla has taken the wishes, expectations and aspirations of 140 crore Indians with him in this mission.
Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “We welcome the successful launch of the space mission that left with astronauts from India, Hungary, Poland and America.”
He said that Group Captain Shukla is on the way to become the first Indian to go to the international space station.
Modi said, “He has taken with him the wishes, expectations and aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians. Happy success to him and other astronauts. ”
The Axiom-4 mission was launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12:01 pm on Wednesday.
Astronauts will spend 14 days at the international space station and will do more than 60 scientists.
