The newly constructed Caps Cafe was attacked late Sunday night in British Columbia, owned by comedian Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath. The attack is considered to be a target attack of the Laddi gang associated with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). It was already under discussion for the cafe’s beautiful pink-white decorations, flower themes and attractive menu. No one was injured in the attack, but the property was damaged.
In a video viral viral on social media, a person is seen firing on the cafe windows at night. Harjit Singh Laddi, who is the Most Wanted and BKI worker of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), took responsibility for the attack. He claimed that Kapil Sharma had made objectionable remarks on Nihang Sikhs in one of his shows and was asked to apologize for it. All the police are investigating the incident.
The Caps Cafe was inaugurated recently, and it is located at Surrey’s 8496 120 Street. It is popular among the South Asian community. The cafes are served dishes such as pink chairs, crystal chandeliers, and lemon pistachio cakes, chocolate brownies, crochent. Kapil and Ginni thanked the fans on social media for the support of fans.
The attack questions the safety of South Asian businessmen in Canada. Kapil Sharma, who is busy in films like the third season of the Great Indian Kapil Show and Kisko Pyaar Karun 2, has not made any statement on this incident yet. The case also highlights tension between the Sikh community in India and Canada, especially in the context of disputes related to organizations such as BKI.
