Samastipur. Pawan Kumar Modi, father of AI engineer Atul Subhash, who committed suicide after accusing his wife and in-laws of harassment, is now going to approach the High Court and Supreme Court. Talking to the newspaper Dainik Jagran, Pawan Kumar Modi said that he is ready to go to the High Court and even the Supreme Court against the bail granted to daughter-in-law Nikita, her mother Nisha and brother Anurag Singhania from the Bengaluru court. An application has already been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Pawan Kumar Modi’s wife and Atul Subhash’s mother to take custody of the grandson. On this application, the Supreme Court had issued notice to the UP, Haryana and Karnataka governments and sought their response.

Bengaluru Police had registered a case of abetting Atul Subhash to commit suicide. Even before Bengaluru Police could reach Atul Subhash’s in-laws house in Jaunpur, mother-in-law Nisha and brother-in-law Anurag Singhania had fled. Atul Subhash’s wife Nikita had also absconded. However, after a few days, all three were arrested by Bengaluru Police and presented in the court. From where he was sent to jail. Nikita had applied for bail in the court saying that the son is small and has to be taken care of. On this the court granted bail to Nikita, Nisha and Anurag Singhania. At the same time, Atul Subhash’s father Pawan Kumar Modi is apprehensive about what his daughter-in-law might do with his grandson.

Atul Subhash committed suicide on 9 December 2024 in Bengaluru. Atul Subhash had written a 48-page suicide note before committing suicide. Also made a 90 minute video. Atul Subhash alleged in the suicide note and video that he was tortured a lot by his wife Nikita, mother-in-law Nisha and other in-laws and filed 9 cases against him, including a maintenance case of Rs 3 crore. Every month Atul Subhash had to come to Sultanpur on the dates of the cases. Atul Subhash had requested in his suicide note that those responsible for his suicide should be given strict punishment. If this did not happen, Atul Subhash had written about throwing his ashes in the gutter.
