New Delhi. Anju Devi, mother of AI engineer Atul Subhash, has filed an application in the Supreme Court for the custody of her grandson. Anju Devi has alleged in her petition that her 4-year-old grandson is in the illegal custody of the family of Atul’s wife Nikita Singhania. He also said that at present there is no information about the child’s whereabouts. The Supreme Court has issued notice to the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka on the petition of Anju Devi. The hearing of this case will now take place on January 7. Atul Subhash had committed suicide on December 9 in his flat in Bengaluru, accusing his wife Nikita Singhania and in-laws of harassing him.
Before committing suicide, Atul had released a video of 1 hour 20 minutes and had also left a 23-page suicide note in which he had mentioned in detail the torture he had suffered. After this, the police arrested Nikita Singhania, resident of Jaunpur, UP, her mother Nisha Singhania, brother Anurag Singhania and uncle Sushil Singhania. Sushil Singhania has currently got bail but the other three are still in jail. In such a situation, the question is where is Nikita and Atul’s 4 year old son?

Atul’s mother has appealed to the court that her grandson should be left with his grandfather and grandmother. However, Nikita had told some time ago that her son is studying in a boarding school in Faridabad, Haryana and she has given the responsibility of his custody to her uncle Sushil Singhania. Whereas Sushil Singhania had denied having the custody of the child or any kind of information related to it. Now because this matter is related to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka, the Supreme Court has issued notice to the governments of these three states.
