DMK leader A Raja again raised controversy.
Senior leader of Tamil Nadu’s ruling party Dravid Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) A Raja has once again made a statement that can begin political fierce battle. DMK leader A Raja while addressing the workers said that there will be only destruction of any political party without ideology. A Raja also gave an example of AIADMK i.e. AIADMK for this. He said that he is not against having faith in God. The party’s founder CN Annadurai had said that God can be seen in the smile of the poor. The king said in Nilgiri district- “But when you put Pottu (Kumkum) and tie Caiyru (Kalava) and when the Sanghi (people of RSS) also do this, it becomes difficult to differentiate.”

A Raja while addressing the workers said that at least the students associated with the student branch should remove the pottu. The king further said that he is not refusing to worship God. He said that if his parents apply Vibhuti on the forehead, they should accept it. On the question about this statement of Raja, DMK leader and Hindu Religious and Charitable Fund Minister PK Shekhar Babu said that the party’s chief MK Stalin has not said anything like this. The Bharatiya Janata Party has condemned the DMK for the statement made by DMK leader A Raja about Kumkum. The BJP has accused the king of despising Hinduism. The BJP said- “When will DMK stop hurting religious beliefs. DMK leaders have now moved a step ahead and are asking the student organization not to put Tilak or Kumkum.”
Who is a king?
A Raja is the General Secretary of the DMK party and MP from Nilegiri Lok Sabha seat in Tamil Nadu. Raja has also held the post of Union Minister of Communications of India from 2007 to 2010.
