Local BJP leader Dr. BD Dwivedi died in his car when his family was taking him to the hospital. The family claimed that they could not reach on time due to barricades in place in the city.
However, Ayodhya Mayor Girish husband Tripathi said that an attempt is being made to arrange ambulances at various places to deal with the medical emergency.
The late BD Dwivedi’s son Rahul, while narrating his objection, said, “We had to face many obstacles in crossing the barricades. I would say that not reaching the hospital on time, I became the cause of my father’s death on Saturday, because we reach the hospital on time, because we reach the hospital It took two hours. We could not even wait for the ambulance, because the ambulance was also taking one to two hours to reach us. “
According to relatives and family members, Dr. BD Dwivedi (62) felt chest pain and restlessness on Saturday morning, so he tried to go to the local Sriram Hospital in Ayodhya with his wife, son and driver.
But his car was stopped at Devkali Barrier. The troubled family pleaded with the inspector and police officers present to open the barrier and also called the station in -charge and the SSP, but their phone did not pick up.
Finally, the barrier was opened after one hour fifteen minutes, but due to many barriers on the way, Dr. Dwivedi’s car could not go to the hospital. He chose the last path to reach Uday Square via Ram Path, but the way was stopped again.
Family members and relatives said that after this the family walked towards the district hospital in Faizabad, but by then two hours had passed and Dwivedi died on the way.
Reacting to Dwivedi’s death, Diwakar Singh, the media in -charge of the BJP’s Ayodhya unit, termed the incident as “very tragic”.
Singh said, “The administration is focusing only on outsiders. If Dr. Dwivedi had reached the hospital on time, at least the family would have got satisfaction.”
Meanwhile, Ayodhya Mayor Girish husband Tripathi, who went to the deceased’s house and attended her funeral on Sunday, said, “We are arranging ambulances at various places in Ayodhya to deal with the medical emergency.”
