Mumbai: Peethadhishwar Pandit Dhirendra Shastri alias Baba Bageshwar of Bageshwar Dham has made a big statement while addressing a gathering in Bhiwandi in Thane district adjacent to Mumbai. He termed the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament as a historical and proud moment for Sanatan Dharma. Baba Bageshwar told the forum that it is the misfortune of the country that more than 200 votes were cast in Parliament against the Waqf Amendment Bill, but despite this, the passing of the bill is an honor for the Sanatanis. Shastri described it as an important step taken to save Sanatan Dharma.
‘Passing the bill is a matter of pride for the Sanatanis’
Addressing the people, Shastri said, ‘The country is unfortunate that more than 200 votes were cast against the Waqf Amendment Bill. The passing of the Waqf Bill is a matter of pride for the Sanatanis. This bill has passed to save Sanatan. When there was talk of Ram temple being built, many people used to say that make a hospital on that land, build a school but till date, he was not heard saying that the Waqf Board should build a hospital or school on the land of the board. We were afraid that the Waqf should not claim even where Maharaj ji’s temple is being built.
‘A situation to remove Aurangzeb’s grave is becoming’
Giving the example of Mahabharata, Dhirendra Shastri said, ‘The crowd was with the Kauravas, but the victory of the Pandavas. Some people were saying that there is great unity against the Waqf Bill and when it is near, they will come out on the streets. But we said that victory is his, with whom Lord Krishna is, and Krishna is with the Pandavas. ‘ Referring to Aurangzeb, he said that some people used to remember him, but now arrangements are being made to erase his name. Baba Bageshwar also claimed that Aurangzeb’s grave was being removed.
