New Delhi. Keeping in mind the upcoming festivals and law and order in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, a complete ban has been imposed on all types of protests till January 12. Lucknow Police has implemented Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code (formerly Section 144) in this regard. This decision has been taken in view of the upcoming festivals, various entrance examinations, and possible protests by protesters in Lucknow. The police has made it clear in its order that during this period, no protest will be allowed at any place other than the Eco Garden protest site.
Ban imposed on these things also
Under this order, the areas around government offices, Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister’s residence, Vidhan Bhavan etc. have been declared as ‘No Flying Zone’. There will be a complete ban on shooting with drone cameras, tractor-trolley, horse cart, bullock cart, buffalo cart, tanga cart, fire related equipment, inflammable materials, and movement with deadly weapons in these areas.
Special strictness on festivals
This order of Section 163 is effective from November 14, 2024, and it has been implemented in view of the upcoming festivals like Kartik Purnima, Guru Teg Bahadur Martyr Day, Black Day, Christmas Day, New Year, and possible protests by various political and farmer organizations. Has gone. Its objective is to maintain peace.
Special instructions for landlords
It has also been said in the order of Lucknow Police that the landlords located in Lucknow should compulsorily get the police verification of their tenants done. Legal action will be taken against landlords for renting houses without verification.
According to the order, sharp-edged weapons, burning of effigies, spreading rumors and spreading misleading information through oral, written, electronic or social media will also be prohibited in the limits of Lucknow. This police order will remain in force till January 12, and strict legal action will be taken if it is violated.
