Singh also said that except Bangladesh and Pakistan, not a single case of violence against Hindus and other minorities has been reported in other neighboring countries.

Government expressed hope from Bangladesh government

The Government of India has clarified that it is in constant touch with the Government of Bangladesh regarding these incidents. Singh told Parliament that India expects Bangladesh to take concrete steps for the protection of religious minorities in its country.

Increasing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh is worrying

In the last few years, incidents of attacks on Hindus and other minorities have increased rapidly in Bangladesh. This includes attacks on temples, destruction of properties and physical violence.
