Delhi Police has busted a big racket, whose work was to fraudulently allow Bangladeshi citizens to enter India. Police have arrested 11 people, including document forgers, Aadhaar operators and technical experts involved in creating the fake website.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South Ankit Chauhan, the accused helped Bangladeshi citizens by preparing fake Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards and other fake documents through a fake website.
Speaking to ANI, DCP Chauhan said that illegal immigrants use forest routes and express trains to enter Indian territory.
He further informed that so far 11 accused have been arrested who facilitate Bangladeshi citizens using fake identity cards through fake websites.
He said that the accused prepared fake Aadhaar, Voter ID card and other documents through fake website and used them.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor has directed the Chief Secretary and Police Commissioner to launch a two-month special operation to identify Bangladeshi immigrants living illegally in the national capital and take strict action against them.
According to Delhi Police sources, more than 1000 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have been identified across the city so far.
The police operation included door-to-door checks, verification of documents and questioning. Special teams comprising local police and foreign cells were deployed to conduct targeted operations.
