Two Indian passengers have been arrested at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. 9,979 grams of marijuana has been recovered from those accused. The accused were trying to smuggle in a very clever manner, after which they have been arrested.
The accused had hidden the drugs in the trolley bag.
According to the information received, these accused had hidden this drug in 17 animal food packets in two trolleys. The incident occurred on Monday when the flight arrived at Terminal 3 from Phuket, Thailand. During examination of the bags of the accused, X-ray indicated the presence of green-coloured narcotic substance.
Later, when investigation was conducted, the recovered product was found to be marijuana. After investigation, it was informed that the value of the recovered product is around Rs 10 crore. These accused had hidden the drugs in the food packets of the animals so that no one could get suspicious. A complaint has been registered against the accused and investigation is being done.
