New Delhi. The world’s largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium, will witness the historic event of BAPS Karkar Gold Mahotsav on 7th December. This grand ceremony will pay tribute to 50 years of dedication of BAPS. More than 1 lakh volunteers from more than 30 countries will participate in the program. The festival will be organized in the presence of His Holiness Mahantaswami Maharaj, the spiritual head of BAPS. Also, Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other distinguished guests will also be present on the occasion.
BAPS is a unique example of service and dedication.
BAPS organization has done many works for the service of humanity under the leadership of Pramukhswami Maharaj. From the safe return of students during the Ukraine crisis to providing assistance during natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis, BAPS volunteers support humanity in every situation. In this Mahotsav, the sacrifice and dedication of BAPS workers will be showcased through grand cultural presentations.
Highlights of the program
There will be participation of 1 lakh volunteers from more than 30 countries. There will be a state-of-the-art cultural performance with 2,000 artistes, 1,800 lights and 30 projectors. Prominent dignitaries will be present along with Guruhari Mahantaswami Maharaj.
Preparations for December 7th
More than 10,000 volunteers have contributed to preparations for the event over the past three months. The properties were created through workshops in Raison, Sarangpur and Shahibaug. Parking arrangements for 1,300 buses and thousands of vehicles have been made near the stadium and riverfront.
BAPS Achievements
Temple Construction: Construction of grand temples in Delhi, Gandhinagar, Robbinsville (America) and Abu Dhabi. Disaster relief: Help in response to COVID-19 and other natural disasters. Cultural Festivals: The London Festival of 1985 and the New Jersey Festival of 1991 brought Indian culture to the global stage. Tribal development: Education and medical services in 2,000 villages. Environment Initiatives: Tree plantation, water conservation and cleanliness campaigns.
