Bareily Accident: A big accident happened again due to fog and shortcut of Google Map, car fell into the canal in Bareilly, police sent notice to Google.

New Delhi. Following the shortcut of Google Map once again became the cause of an accident in Bareilly. Due to fog late on Monday night, the car of three youths going to Pilibhit fell into the canal. It was fortunate that no one was injured in the accident. Police reached the spot and took out the car with the help of a crane. Regarding this matter, Izzatnagar Inspector Dhananjay Pandey said that Divyanshu, son of Mahendra Pratap Singh, resident of Auraiya, was going to Pilibhit at around 3 pm on Monday night with his two friends. Due to dense fog, he took help of Google Map. When they reached near Kalapur Pulia in Izzatnagar area, Google Map showed them a shortcut. Following the instructions, the youth turned the car onto the canal road.

How did the accident happen?

The car overturned in the canal due to road erosion near Barkapur Tiraha. However, there was no water in the canal and the speed of the car was also not fast, due to which a major accident was averted. The youth trapped in the car themselves tried to free it, but failed. After this he called UP 112 and informed the police. The police called for a crane and pulled out the car.

A big accident has happened before this too

On November 24, three youths died after their car fell from an incomplete bridge in Khallapur of Faridpur area of Bareilly. These young men were going to attend a wedding and were using Google Maps. As per the instructions of the map, they climbed onto the under-construction bridge, due to which the accident occurred.
