‘Stand-up comedian’ Kunal Kamra on Tuesday shared a fiveist post on the social media platform ‘X’ titled ‘How to Kill An Artist: A Step-by-step guide’ (how to kill an artist: phase rate phase guide).
In this post, he criticized violent resentment against his recent program and said that an artist would either have to sell his soul or remain silent.
Last week, a big political controversy arose over Kamra’s ‘Gaddar’ comment against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in the video “Naya Bharat” released on the ‘YouTube’ channel. Shiv Sainiks vandalized the place where Kamra shot a comedy program. ‘Stand-up comedian’ has three FIRs in Mumbai and is currently in Tamil Nadu.
Kamra sang a ‘parody’ in her show, in which Shinde was sarcastically sarcashed for partition in the Shiv Sena and described her as ‘traitors’. He posted a post on ‘X’ on Tuesday and strongly criticized the behavior being done by the authorities.
Kamra posted under the title “How to Kill An Artist: A step by-step guide”, in which he took sarcasm through five points:
1) Outrage – so much that the brand stop giving its work.
2) More outrage – until the private sector and corporate work stops.
3) Excessive resentment – so that large sites do not take risks.
4) Violent outrage – until the smallest places close your doors.
5) Call their (artists) audiences for questioning – turn the art into a crime site. ”
According to Kamra, an artist has only two options left under such circumstances. He wrote, “Either sell your soul and become a dollar puppet or shut your mouth. This is not just a strategy, but it is a political weapon. There is a machine to silence. ”
There were reports that a notice was sent to the audience to appear before the police to the audience who attended Kamra’s show.
However, a police officer denied this.
The officer told ‘PTI’, “This is wrong information.”
