Himanta Biswa Sarma government of Assam has taken a big decision. In fact, serving beef in restaurants or hotels in Assam has been banned. Regarding this, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “In Assam, we have decided that beef will not be served in any restaurant or hotel and also it will not be served in any public function or public place, so from today we have decided that beef will not be served in any restaurant or hotel. And have decided to completely stop the consumption of beef in public places. Earlier our decision was to ban eating beef near temples but now we have extended it to the entire state that you can eat it in any community place. Will not be able to eat in public places, hotels or restaurants.
What did Himanta Biswa Sarma say?
During this, he said that it has been 3 years since we brought a law to ban cow slaughter in Assam. Through this law we have achieved a lot of success in cow slaughter. Now we have decided that beef will not be served in any hotel or restaurant nor will there be a ban on its inclusion in any public function. We had earlier decided that there would be a ban on eating or selling beef within a radius of 5 km of the temple. However, it has now been implemented in the entire state. Beef will neither be cooked nor consumed in hotels, restaurants and public functions across the state. It has been completely banned.
