New Delhi. Shiv Sena UBT president Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray came together after almost 20 years but the two brothers suffered a shock in the first election. Uddhav and Raj’s parties contested elections in BEST Credit Society elections, but their account could not be opened in it. The ‘Utkarsh’ panel supported by the Thackeray brothers has not won even one of the 21 seats. All political parties were eyeing the results of this election, while Raj and Uddhav Thackeray were also expecting a lot from this election.
Shashank Rao’s panel won the highest number of 14 seats in the Credit Society election associated with the employees of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport. At the same time, parts of the BJP -backed panel also came to 7 seats. In this way, the Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav Thackeray in the Best Committee, also ended several years old dominance. Shiv Sena UBT fielded its candidates for 18 seats out of a total of 21 seats under the Utresh Panel, while Raj Thackeray’s MNS candidates contested two seats, while a candidate of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes organization was included.
BJP tightened
BEST staff leader Shashank Rao called it a victory for the trust of the employees. At the same time, BJP has taunted the defeat of Raj and Uddhav Thackeray’s parties. BJP leader and spokesperson Keshav Upadhyay says that this is a very simple mathematics whenever two zero will be added, the result will always come. At present, there is no response from the Shiv Sena UBT or MNS regarding the election results. In view of this election results, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray will have to work again under the new strategy for the upcoming BMC elections.
