Bhagalpur 4 lane new route will become operational from May. NHAI gave date and guidelines for opening

The dream of high speed vehicles on Munger-Mirzachowki four lane road is now going to become reality from May. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has given a five-month extension to the construction agency, due to which the construction of the road will now be completed by May 2024. The work will be expedited after Durga Puja and the project will be completed in the next seven months. This will provide relief to the people of Bhagalpur and surrounding districts from the problem of traffic jam.

There was a break on the green project

In August, work on this green project was halted due to lack of land acquisition and flyash. Flyash was not being supplied regularly from NTPC, due to which the construction work slowed down. The construction company had sought extension of time, which has now been approved. Although the project was to be completed by December, now after the extension, the target has been set to complete the work by May 2024.

Even 60% work has not been completed

Till now, 60 percent work of this road, which is being built at a cost of Rs 5474 crore, has not been completed. The project was started two years ago and the target was to complete it in two years, but now the work will take two and a half years.

Work is being done in three parts

The construction of four lane road in Bhagalpur is divided into three parts from Khadiya village to Mirzachowki. In the construction of this total 97 kilometer road, first there were problems in land acquisition and then there was obstruction in the supply of flyash, due to which the work was greatly affected.

Lack of flyash becomes a challenge

53 lakh cubic meters of flyash is required for road construction, for which 1000 to 1200 vehicles are required every day. But the supply situation was so bad that only 50 vehicles were arriving daily. This shortage delayed the work of the project.

24 kilometer road is ready

Out of 37 kilometers of road from Rasalpur to Mirzachowki, 24 kilometers of road has been built so far, but land acquisition is still pending at some places. Due to this, there remained obstacles in the construction work.

What benefit will you get? The completion of Munger-Mirzachowki four lane will provide great relief to the people of Bhagalpur and surrounding districts. The problem of jam will end and passengers will also save time.
