Vande Bharat Express running between Bhagalpur and Howrah is starting this month, which will give the people of Bhagalpur a new option for faster travel. This train will cover the distance from Bhagalpur to Howrah in about 5-6 hours. However, the railways have not yet formally released the time-table of this train. This train will reach Howrah from Bhagalpur via Hansdiha, Dumka, Rampur Hat and Bolpur.
Platform and operational information
Vande Bharat Express will run from platform number 6 of Bhagalpur. Recently the DRM of Malda Division has inspected the station and all preparations are going on in full swing. This train is a long-standing facility for the people of Bhagalpur.

The train will run at a speed of 110 kmph on the Bhagalpur-Dumka rail section, while after Dumka the speed of the train will increase to 130 kmph. The distance from Bhagalpur to Howrah is about 400 km, which this train will cover in just a few hours.
Coaches and facilities
Vande Bharat Express will have a total of eight coaches, out of which two coaches will be executive class and the remaining six coaches will be AC chair cars. The seats of the executive class will be rotating and additional facilities will be provided in it.
Safety of passengers
RPF escort party will be present in the train for security during the journey. Under the “Meri Saheli” campaign, women RPF officers will ensure the safety of women travelling alone.
