Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to him on the birth anniversary of ‘Bharat Ratna’ and famous shehnai player Ustad Bismillah Khan on Friday, saying that his music practice is worshipable.
Yogi Adityanath wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “The well -known shehnai player, ‘Bharat Ratna’ Ustad Bismillah Khan introduced the vast form of India’s cultural heritage to the world with his shehnai playing. His musical practice is worshipable. Today he has a humble tribute on his birth anniversary! ”
Friday is the 109th birth anniversary of Ustad Bismillah Khan, one of India’s greatest musicians. Bismillah Khan was born on 21 March 1916 in Dumraon, Bihar. Khan was awarded the ‘Bharat Ratna’ in 2001. He died on 21 August 2006.
