Chitrakoot. The local court in Chitrakoot, UP has ordered to confiscate the property of Samajwadi Party State Secretary Faraz Khan and 3 others. A case was registered against all of them under the Gangster Act in Karvi Kotwali. According to the news of Hindi newspaper Navbharat Times, other people whose property has been confiscated by the court include Navneet Sachan, Niaz Ansari, Shahbaz Alam Khan, who runs the canteen in Chitrakoot jail. All of them are accused of illegally meeting Don Mukhtar Ansari’s son Abbas Ansari and his wife Nikhat Bano while they were lodged in Chitrakoot jail.
The case is related to Abbas Ansari, son of Don Mukhtar Ansari.
This matter is of 10 February 2023. On this date, Chitrakoot’s then DM Abhishek Anand and SP Vrinda Shukla had raided the district jail. There it was revealed that his wife Nikhat Bano was being arranged to meet Abbas Ansari illegally. Even Abbas Ansari’s wife was living with him. The names of Samajwadi Party State Secretary Faraz Khan and others had come up in the investigation. After which the police arrested everyone including Nikhat Bano and sent them to jail. Among the accused, Nizay Ansari is a resident of Ghazipur district and Shahbaz Alam Khan is a resident of Varanasi.
The illegal meeting of wife Nikhat Ansari with Abbas Ansari in jail was revealed.
Nikhat Bano, wife of don Mukhtar Ansari’s son Abbas Ansari, was granted bail by the Supreme Court in August 2023. The court granted bail on the basis that she was a woman and also had a 1 year old child. Now, on the orders of the court, they have got a big blow due to the attachment of the properties of 4 accused including Samajwadi Party State Secretary Faraz Khan. There are also chances that the echo of this matter will be heard once again. By-elections are to be held on 9 assembly seats in UP on November 20. In these by-elections, BJP can also corner the Samajwadi Party by raising this issue. The main contest in the UP Assembly by-elections is between these two parties.
