Big blow to Congress in Maharashtra, Baba Siddiqui's son Zeeshan Siddiqui joins NCP, becomes candidate from Bandra East

New Delhi. Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of late NCP leader Baba Siddiqui and former president of Mumbai Youth Congress, has followed his father’s path and joined Ajit Pawar faction’s NCP. As soon as he joined NCP, he was declared the party candidate from Bandra East seat. On this occasion, many senior leaders of the party including NCP chief Ajit Pawar were also present.

Zeeshan Siddiqui claimed victory

After joining NCP, Zeeshan Siddiqui called it an emotional day for him and his family. He said, “I am grateful to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare for reposing faith in me in these difficult times. I have got the ticket from Bandra East and I am sure that with the love and support of all the people, I will definitely win Bandra East again.”

Congress accused of cheating

Making serious allegations against Congress, Zeeshan Siddiqui said that Mahavikas Aghadi handed over the Bandra East seat to Shiv Sena (UBT), which is unfortunate. He said, “Leaders of Congress and Mahavikas Aghadi were in contact with me for several days. Some people were saying that they will make it unopposed, some were saying that they should wait. But in the end it is in their nature to cheat.” He further said that his father’s dream was to win the Bandra East seat and he would fulfill this dream. “My father was killed during his struggle, and I have his blood in my veins. I will continue their fight and win this seat with record votes,” he claimed.

Heard that old friends have declared their candidate in Vandre East. It was never in their nature to get along.

“Keep relationship with the one who respects and honors you.
That means there is no point in increasing the crowd.”

Now the public will take the decision!!!!

Two BJP leaders also joined NCP

In this program of NCP, two BJP leaders also changed sides. BJP leader Nishikant Bhosale Patil and former MP Sanjaykaka Patil joined NCP. In the presence of Ajit Pawar, AB forms were handed over to both the leaders for their constituencies. Nishikant Bhosale from Islampur and Sanjaykaka Patil from Tasgaon will be NCP candidates in Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. The contest has become even more interesting with the candidature of Zeeshan Siddiqui for Bandra East seat, where he has expressed confidence of his victory.
